Twitch Expands Gambling Restrictions As Viewership Goes Down 75%

Twitch’s popular streaming service has expanded its live stream online gambling ban to include Blaze and Gamdom and the four previously banned sites.

In a statement made last year, Twitch said they would ban and remove live streams for gambling sites not licensed in the United States or licensed by a trusted gaming regulator. Fortunately, the ban does not include United States gambling sites licensed outside of the country and included in our gambling guide. After the ban was announced, gambling streams have gone down approximately 75% according to Twitch.

What Gambling Sites Are Allowed To Be Streamed On Twitch?

In the statement posted above, Twitch states that licensed sites that protect US players can still be streamed on the site. Popular casino and sportsbook sites such as Bovada, BetUS, Café Casino, and BetOnline are licensed by trusted gaming commissions and will still be allowed on the platform.

Live streams show potential players how the games operate online and provide strategies depending on the game. Twitch is a great way to get accustomed to online gambling and gives players a real sense of the gameplay and how wagers are submitted.

Is Online Gambling Legal In The United States?

Yes, no USA gambling laws at the federal level outlaw online gambling. However, it is suggested that US players only wager with licensed casinos, sportsbooks, and poker sites.

Online gambling sites operate legally from their jurisdiction, usually outside the United States. Most sites suggest that players abide by local laws, including state laws, to prevent any possible legal complications.

What Are The Most Popular Online Casino Game Online?

There are many popular online casino games, but online blackjack and slots reign supreme. Blackjack is incredibly popular due to the favorable odds and the many buy-in options available to US players. Since blackjack is a game of skill, many professional players gravitate toward the popular card game.

Online slots, however, are not a game of skill but provide hours of entertainment and big jackpots. Like domestic casinos in the United States, slot titles dominate the casino floor and online community because they offer low wagers and tons of ways to win.

Before playing a new slot title, we suggest you read the terms and conditions to learn the payout lines and other ways to win. If you want to learn how to play online slots, we suggest you take advantage of the free play feature offered at our recommended online casino sites.
