How’s Your Bracket Doing? March Madness Woes

After the first series of games in the NCAA March Madness tournament, many are left wondering what went wrong with their brackets. Picking a perfect bracket is an impossible task, and it is always interesting to see which teams crash out early to bust so many people’s brackets. A lot of bettors use US online gambling sites to place bets for NCAA basketball games. If you are looking for legal USA friendly sites to bet on sports, these offshore sites provide the best option. You can also find some relief through prop bets if you’ve taken a loss on your favorite teams losing.

The University of Miami Hurricanes were a decent team out of the ACC this year. In fact, the ACC sent many strong teams to the tournament. Their first game was projected to be an easy win over #11 Loyola. Halftime should’ve been a sign of what was to come, as the score was tied at 28 apiece. The second half was more of the same neck-and-neck action that ultimately came down to the last possession. Loyola secured a rebound to push the ball for one last play, even though they had a timeout to use. Donte Ingram put up the shot of his life from outside the arc to send his team to the next round. Miami was stunned as Loyola stormed the court. The Hurricanes had a chance left with three-tenths of a second, but a very small chance at that. Loyola goes on to play Tennessee in the second round.

The Arizona Wildcats were another cause for concern regarding bettor’s perfect brackets. The #4 Wildcats were dominated by the #13 Buffalo Bulls. The game was close in the first half, but the Bulls came out of the locker room on a mission. They built up quite the lead on the Wildcats as time winded down, leading by as much as 25 late in the second. The Wildcats had no chance to come back and proved analysts wrong yet again. Many thought Arizona would go far this year, but that was not the case. Buffalo has a tough matchup against Kentucky in the next round.

Not everyone left the first round upset. Gonzaga, Kansas, Duke, Villanova, Kentucky, Florida and Michigan all performed as expected to seal a win. A lot of people have Villanova going far. One of the biggest Final Four inclusions are the University of Virginia Cavaliers. They dominated the ACC this year and came out of the ACC tournament a #1 seed. If they do go all the way, it will be their first championship.

Many brackets have already fallen apart. If you’ve been fortunate enought to predict correctly so far, consider yourself lucky. For now, bet on the top seeded teams to make it through. Then keep an eye out for these underdogs pulling off the upsets.
